Technique ATC's - Paper sewing

I hate Mondays!!
I went to the USPS to mail a package. I like to use priority mail so I had everything all ready to go. After waiting in line forever I get to the counter and realize that I had forgotten to put the address label on........ ok no big deal I get a priority stamp to put on it..... come home grab the label and dash to the box down the street..... get there throw it in...... get back in the car and what is staring me in the face........ yep you guessed it the stamp. So now I have to wait for it to come back to me!! GGRRRR A classic Monday!!!

Well here is another swap I got done this weekend,technique ATC's. Looks like all I did this weekend was ATC's!! I swear I did more!! LOL Anyway for my first spot I did paper sewing which is one of my all time favorite techniques.


I used the bazzil stitching templates and bazzil bling cardstock. Also I doodled in the petals and leaf to create a more real look to them.

April Showers bring August Fruit

Well I am back! I had a blast this weekend..... Thanks Alex!! Things got a lot better after my Friday night slump. I ended up getting way more than I thought done.

Now for a "peep show"!
These ATC's are for the Calendar ATC Swap (click on it ...hurry there are only 2 spots left!!)on SCS . For my 2 spots this is what I came up with......


First April.......
I started out with this great idea to use my cricut and cut little bunnies with eggs. So I get all 13 bunnies cut and each bunny has 7 eggs so I cut each egg different....... when a little birdie pops up and says "you know that easter is sometimes in March right" Well there I am all oh crap.... up to my neck in eggs and bunnies.

So then I am well what April so of course I think 'April showers bring May flowers.". I had this great SU! umbrella stamp and then stitched the rain drops on (still thinking of stickeling in the drops). The ATC is silver bazzil bling paper and the calendar back ground is a mat stack with little swirls on it.



Now August.......
After looking a some great 6x6 calendar pages Alex had I got inspired.One had these little apples stamped and made into a border. I thought wow fruit would be something inexpected for this. I used the lime/orange and stamped all over white and punched them out with the small circle punch. The ATC is DCWV dark stack and behind the calendar is glossy white.

I think this was my favorite from this weekend.
